Former congressman, two others join board of trustees for NextGen
Research Technology Park in Egg Harbor Township

From Press staff reports | Posted: Wednesday, June 23, 2010

A former congressman and two business leaders have been added to the Board of Trustees of the
Aviation Research and Technology Park, the board announced Wednesday.
Former Rep. Jim Saxton, R-3rd, now managing director of Duane Morris Government Affairs; Verizon
New Jersey President Dennis M. Bone; and Sam Young, president of Tilton Fitness Management, will
join six other men and two women.
The park is being built near the Federal Aviation Administration's William J. Hughes Technical Center
and Atlantic City International Airport. The Aviation Research and Technology Park will be a
high-technology aviation facility that provides the opportunity for FAA's partners to perform research,
development, testing, integration and verification of new NextGeneration (NextGen) technologies. The
site, at full build-out, will accommodate 400,000 square feet of lab and research space. More than
2,000 new, high-skilled jobs are expected to be created.
"These private-sector leaders will provide important insights from their private-sector experience. They
strengthen our foundation for the Aviation Park and provide additional momentum moving forward,"
Board of Trustees President Herman J. Saatkamp Jr. said Wednesday in a news release.
